I think I'm gonna do a 215/40 up front. That'll give me enough stretch to clear the fenders so I can go lower

87hardtop26: I rolled and pulled the stock fenders initially to fit the wheels. it "functioned" with a decent amount of rubbing, but it didnt really wear away the tires. The rears fit without a pull with no spacer. I put on my 10mm spacer in the rear and lowered it another inch, and had to pull. but havent had much issues with the rear. Hopefully getting the 215/40s here soon, so i can get my bumper and lip back on to show everyone. paint came out beautiful

Ha, nope they are shine 30mm's. They will kinda fit with stock fronts with a huge pull.

specs on wheel setup is 17x10 +20 all around, up front i have a 15mm adapter, and i took out my rear 10mm slip on spacer to put on a 5mm because i havent pulled the rears enough to avoid total rubbing in boost. so right now, thats how it sits.

its really not that bad. i mean, yea its low but its managable. the only main thing that gets me is like construction zones when they have huge chunks taken out of the pavement

In Australia the lowest legal point on your car has to be 100mm off the ground, my silvia was 120mm and I could not take it anywhere, lesson learnt in a shopping mall carpark on a speedbump / pedestrian crossing. Annoying as hell.. 100mm is law but ***** just make their own rules and wreck nice cars.

Hey RTY PWR, how does the car handle with those wheels and spacers? Did it change the characteristics of the car? I want to run this set -up when I do my Cosmo swap, but I still want my car handle good. Thanks.

I have the same wheel set up as RTY just different spacers, i also believe my motor is a little heavier than his?. i have felt that the cars handling has improved, i have also noticed it chases ruts a little more, but i have not gotten it aligned yet.
..waits for RTY to voice his opinion on the set up!

It still handles like a dream. I took it to the mtns the other day, but if you want to beat it hard handling, i wouldnt run 10's up front IMO. I did it for looks, but even with the shine 30mm overs i am still barely clearing on 215/40s. so, yea, it handles a lot better than my previous (stock meshies). so i'd say go for it, especially for the price

i really like this set up. so 17x10 +20 all around clears the stock fenders?
