those last locations look good...

just dont be a tard and put the plate in your windsheild, thats soo stupid you will still get hassled for it, and really not a good location.

I mounted mine here

Should not cost you more than $5 for bolts /washers/nuts.

Tape the plate to a location to see if you like it. then mark holes, drill.. Push the bolt with a washer on it through the backside, then lock washer and a nut so it doesnt go anywhere.. Than washer / License Plate / Washer / Nut.

Just keep the plate in good condition I dont think they look ugly at all. Look pretty good when the plate looks fresh/straight.

^dont do that in california, you will get your ass pulled over just as fast.

Just place the plate in a area you think will look good, and tape it there, walk back and look at it to see if you like it in that area.

I've a guy with a Jag with a plate that looked something like that and he has no problems, then again I haven't had a plate on mine since I've owned it, havn't been stopped once (knock on wood)

Not a S5 bumper, but same effect. Doesn't block the rad. :icon_tup:

The first thing after my car got home from the dealership back in 1986 was to pull the front plate off and for the entire 24 year history of my car it has yet to ever be mentioned by a police officer even when pulled over. However it is just yet another reason to get pulled over.

OP, unless you have an aftermarket front bumper, DO NOT DRILL HOLES. Obviously front plates came on the car stock and there are stock brackets that hold the front plate up.

Hypertek 08-11-10 09:26 AM

if your car is stock, then yeah you probably wouldnt even get looked at twice without a front plate.. now once you dip into the tuning game, aftermarket exhaust, rims etc.. then you get noticed. So yeah better safe than sorry.

Rob XX 7 08-11-10 09:30 AM

might be trivial but I would rather block the passenger side airflow then the drivers, only because of the oil lines

I have no front plate on my car, luckily for me cops dont give me a hassle, if you smoke or do other things you may want one less reason to be pulled over

RockLobster 08-11-10 09:48 AM

I have a stock plate frame ill sell ya. I now have a collector plate for my 89 and my 91. No more front plate for me.

In MN they pull you over all the time for just that. I had gotten two warnings for it, a freind of mine has a glove box full of no-front-plate tickets.

hosmer 08-11-10 10:25 AM

No plate but my bracket is still there...with the plate on it doesn't block any airflow to my fmic/radiator
