pic request - aftermarket topmounts !

anything goes really. i am just looking for some ideas for modifying the top mount intercooler. i saw a fd side mount that i think i might be able to modify but i just want to get some pics and other ideas. i hear the starion unit is a fav. among topmounters. i want to keep my piping to a minimum and i dont have the money for a v mount. POST EM UP!

The only ones I remember are the HKS and ARC ones. I'll see if I can find pics.

they should be good for a bit over 300hp, maybe 350hp max.
and I don't need more anyways,...so for me is a TMIC more suitable.

see thats the problem with people that are just concerned about " POWEEEERERER", like, bad things can happen when you just slap an intercooler with some piping at the front of the car. there are alot of variables that change when you change your intercooler.

yes depeing how u set it up or if u get a bigger core then ur radiator sumtimes ur coolant temps go up

I think he/she said "right, depending on your setup you could be throwing caution to the wind by going with a larger, front mounted intercooler. A little bird told me that it's also good to upgrade your cooling system if you are going to be blocking your radiator with a large core. Anyways, I have an english class to teach so I'll see you gentlemen in a fortnight. Cheerio!"

I'd love to get an aftermarket TMIC, as my power plans are pretty modest (250-300whp). Would a larger core work any better, it is drawing all its air from the scoop?

Would a WRX intercooler work? I think its substantially bigger and the piping size looks to be increased.
