Paint code 5A?

Okay, i've been debating on colors to paint my FC since the peron who had it before me didnt take care of the paint and never got it repainted it's origional color. (someone maccoed it and all the shit paint is coming off)... I was just wondering... my ORIGIONAL paint code is 5A, it's like a light metallic blue, but i've NEVER seen that color anywhere.. and i cannot find any pictures of it. So i guess my question is, do you guys have any pictures of it?

That's what happening to the nasty macco paint right now.
I'm debating on the origional color, or white....

Give me some imput. Thanks!

It really just looks like your paint is heavily oxidized if the paint on the rear quarter panel is the same paint thats on the rest of the car. If its Maaco, its likely a single stage paint since its black (stock black paint is single stage as well) which contributes to the heavy oxidation. If it is the same paint, I suggest taking it to a good highly recommended detailer where you live as a first option.

I'd keep it black if you can save the paint, and your 5a paint is Sapphire Blue Metallic that was on S4's. IMO its not that great of a blue..seems kinda greenish in tint.

To give ya a comparison, heres a car that I had to painfully work on last year, just about the worst paint I've ever experienced, but it was salvagable.

5A (Saphire blue metallic) is an awesome color, very rare, not that many shades of blue like it on the streets:

(I know F'ed up fake blur in photoshop, this is near the beginning of my photography, but look at the color)

Saphire Blue MEtallic looks just as clean after a month of not washing it as it does a week of not washing it both are VERY close to when you just wash it. It looks clean for a while, ask any 5A owner, easy color to maintain.
