OK, I'm looking at doing a color change on the car soon, but I was wondering what you guys thought about my two ideas.

One: Leave the hood CF.

Two: Paint the hood to match the car but leave the flat parts of the vents CF.

There are a few light cracks in the resin on the hood but they don't bother me too much. It's a street car, so I don't expect it to remain flawless forever.

Here is a quick before and after pic to give you an idea of what I'm talking about.

 

Leave it alone. it goes well with the S4 moldings.

 

I actually like the look of the CF Louvers only. Either that, or your going to have to get the eastbears layered in CF so they don't look like ***

 

Wait till it starts to turn yellow, then paint it.

 

if you can get the headlights redone in CF i say leave it otherwise paint it once you do the S5 converion it would look better

 

option 2. i'm not really diggin' the head lights

keep it cf, and get a regular hood painted, so you can always alternate between the 2

 

Paint it, never much liked the look of carbon fiber unless in little incriments.

 

Paint if completely, or leave the fins only clear-coated...

i dont like the hood at all either way, painted or CF. Looks like **** IMO. BUT, if i had to say one or the other, i would say leave it CF, painting it red makes it look more ricey.

if you paint it, the clear will help preserve the resin. Make sure you take it to someone who knows how to paint CF.
