New Paint in Georgia

So, my oldest backed into the RX-7. Can’t really blame her, she only has three mirrors and a back-up camera… Anyway, I got lucky and she hit the driver’s door pretty square (that’s a weird sentence to type). Now my build list is altered drastically. No longer is paint the icing on the cake. I was dealing with 5 shades of faded red and pink, but add the driver’s mirror being destroyed and I just had to find a paint and body shop.

Went to a number of places for estimates of repairing just the door as well doing the whole thing. Chose Street Rod Solutions in Acworth, GA. Main reasons: wanted to replace door instead of bang out and fill in, pretty clean shop in comparison to most, and this shop was suggested to me by another paint shop that didn’t think they could give we what I wanted in a timely manner.

So, deal done, dropped car off and it took them less than a month. I tried not to be that guy always changing things or adding things, but I think I kind of was. I’d go get parts to fix while they were out and add things to be also painted that I might put on the car later. They were quite cool about it. Even suggested a couple of things I didn’t think of, like a bolster where I removed the grill.

Bah! I’m long winded even when trying to be quick. Sorry! I was going to post up some pics I took when I picked her up. But, the day after I got the car I got an email with a short power point about the car. I decided to figure out how to save as pictures and post them because I felt it was a nice touch, especially when our deal was already done and such. Anyway, here it is:

So, i have no experience with paint. I'm assuming all that was done is the norm. When i was having the estimate i requested a good paint job for a driven car, not a show car paint job.
To me, the car looks great. I would suggest the shop to others. Here are some shots from when i picked her up:

I'm in Georgia and one day hope to repaint my 10ae, but things like mortgages tend to get in the way :)

I've heard this shops name thrown around before, glad you are happy. Did you have the jambs done? Was your paint peeling? Would you mind PMing me a ballpark figure to expect from this shop?

I did not have the jambs done. They based the color off the jambs and the original Blase Red paint code. At least that is my understanding.
It did not have any peeling. The fading was crazy though, it looked like it had been put together out of five cars. Check my intro to the site for pics of when i brought her home.
They did find something on the hood and fenders they didn't like, etching maybe? i don't recall what they called it for sure, but they were afraid it would affect how the new primer/paint grabbed. So, they took those all the way down to metal.
