ok, i was on youtube watching an old review of the rx7 non turbo compared to the porsche. i noticed that when they opened the hood it had a distributor ign. system as opposed to the ECU controlled one. did they ever use the 13b fb setup on the early fc's?

europe is ahead of us in low emissions, but they were way behind in the 80's.
so their 86-88 FC got basically the same engine as we did, with a gsl-se ecu + injectors and the emissions system from a 1980 rx7, thermal reactor.
does make it weird!

Every S4 european n/a model had a distributor type ignition, evan my fc. Only turbo models has ECU controlled ignition
Engine is still 6port, but has different actuators for 5th and 6th ports and ignition system from a FB3S
I know, i have to clean it

nice, thats exactly what i was looking for.
just out of curiousity can this be used in a TII? i know timing might be slightly different but you can set timing on the distrubutor for the fc. right?

Yes, you can use it on turbo, but I thing ECU controlled is better.
