Mach I Front Lip Options

Hello,

I have been liking the Mach I front lip options for S4's since Corksport no longer makes their S4 lip.

Did you all use the 99-04?

I found the UPR ones and also, some others that they recommend with double sided tape. I figured then I could drill my own holes.

My question is, how much trimming is involved? Fitment?

Will I be the test subject?

I used 99-04 but it looks like the older one might work but be safe and get the 99 one

Use 99-04. It fits nearly perfect after you modify it.

Drill your own holes. Start in the center and work out towards the sides. I used the factory S4 lip as a template for the holes, but you could also make one with poster board. The mach 1 lip is about the exact same depth as the factory lip, so it will basically sit flush when you slide it into place.

At the corners of the bumper you need to remove a little material from the top so the lip will make a sharper bend. The lip will under cut the bumper maybe 1/4 " on each side of the car at the sharpest part of the bend, and then will even back out flush with the fender. You don't really notice this when you are all done. The sides will be too long and touch the tires, you'll have to trim each side to match the fender.

It took me about an hour to get it installed and trimmed.

I have the Mach 1, it's a great lip if you're going for a sleek, stock look. I'd like to experiment with painting it to match the body.
