looking for something with a more agressive look.

Ok.. heres my problem.. ive got an s4 n/a.. and i dont like how the front end looks anymore.. i want something more agressive. right now the car doesnt have any mods. so its stock ride height.

but im looking for some opinions, i was kinda thinkin just goin s5... but iono..

Spirit-RE 06-06-10 01:00 PM

Full amemiya kit.

Depending on how much you want to spend, you could do as little as a volvo/626 lip, turbo hood, and lowering would help make it look meaner. Or go all out with a widebody and expensive wheels. Whats your budget??

IMO I like the s4 bumper better than the s5, as I don't find the stack of 4 lights/FTP on each side appealing.(even though I'm converting one of my s4's to a s5 body lol)

Zer0Suvivers 06-06-10 01:22 PM

well as for budget.. im not sure on that.. lol in september im getting like 2700. and then again probably in.. febuary of next year.. but of course i want to get coilovers, exhaust and get my sunroof welded closed. its not an oem one so i just want it gone.

Zer0Suvivers 06-06-10 01:22 PM

oh and plus whatever i can save by then as well. of course i need wheels... mine are bent.. so theres that.

arghx 06-06-10 01:56 PM

If your just want a better looking car, I'd go (in order):
1. Lowering springs-Cheap, lots of great manufacturers to choose from, 1 - 2 " drop depending on wheel selection, and drive ability needs. Will help with the stock FC's wheel gap problems, and slightly improve handling if you buy quality ones.
2. Wheels-This can run anywhere from $200 to $3000 and even beyond, depending on your budget. A good cheap option is to find either the BBS meshes that are found on the verts, or Ford Crown Vic sport meshes, but you will need to get tires to fit the 16" rims.
3. Front Lip-Again cheap. A few choices, you can either spend $100-$200 on a aftermarket one, Shine Auto has a few to choose from and are great quality. Or you can go rip one off of a car at a wrecker, cars to look for are 89 240SX pig nose (IMO my favorite looking lip on S4), Mazda 626, or Volvo 740 (these you can actually order new through a dealer for around $80).
These are all (can be) cheap, and easy mods to do to improve your cars look. Bodykits are a good choice too, but installation and paint can be costly.

well im not going just for looks. but i wont be able to rock the bbs' found on verts. my car is 4 lug. and i dont wanna go cheap when buying for my car.

i have been looking into lips.. but i suppose i will just lower my car and figure it out them for a lip.

They do have 4 lug bbs vert rims, i used to have them on a 88 base model.

What ever you had were not vert wheels, all verts were 5 lug BBS 15" x 6.5" ET 40mesh wheels. What you had was something different.

Rob XX 7 06-08-10 07:29 PM

why not a 5 lug conversion

Zer0Suvivers 06-08-10 07:34 PM

i dont have the cash right now to swap to 5 lug.. plus its my dd right now. and in august im going to have to drive to school everyday.

im not even sure all of what i would need for a 5 lug swap.

Proper fitment would make a geo prism look good. :D

Zer0Suvivers 06-09-10 12:30 PM

lolz.. i dunno about that.. those cars are still ugly. i will look into some wheels. If i dont sell my 7.

Strange  They were 15" bbs wheels because it had BBS on the caps and rims. Well either way my point is there are 15" BBS 4 lug wheels out there somewhere because i had a set

This is the only picture i have of them. No motor in car = higher stance/shitty look. Makes me finally think they weren't bbs vert rims now.

Rob XX 7 06-09-10 03:15 PM

bbs wheels yes, from a vert- no

the area around the cap is all wrong, but still cool for 4 lug old school

FelixIsGod29X 06-09-10 05:02 PM

Thanks for clearing that up Gryffinwings & RobXX7.

Hey Rob i saw your FC at supra vs 7 meet for the first time. Damn clean considering the mileage, congrats on best of show FC wise.

Chriz88DX 06-09-10 05:19 PM

hey man for real skip past the cheap stuff and just save for coil overs lip, s5 bumper, wheels, and paint if needed

I have wasted money trying to do the cheap stuff and it has cost me so much more.mine is a s4 na with coil overs, wheels with spacers to fit, lip and s5 wing

What paint did you use for your wheels? I had to use powder coat.

My S4 with just an S5 bumper (cause of IC) wheels/coilovers.
