SikFC3S 02-08-11 09:21 AM

Rob makes (made?) some really nice ones, ask him.

this is the "rob lip" really helpful, and response time is almost right away. fitment is dead on. i cut the bottom piece of the bumper but its not necessary to make it fit. he even left the ends (by the fenders) alittle long so i can cut them to my liking.

edit: btw this is when i was installing it, along with the intercooler. so i kept putting it on and off the car to check for fitment, hence the finger prints all over the bumper and lip lol

For good reason

Which reminds me, I need two S5 bumpers.

DC 91 fc3s 02-09-11 04:01 AM

I got a s5 bumper in good condition for $60

P_Lav 02-09-11 05:24 AM

S13 Pignose lip looks good on S4's, cheap too.

Don't forget the S5 trim and rear bumpers too, or the S5 bumper wont match up to the S4 trim!

82BUCKET 02-09-11 08:58 AM

IMO, the hard to find aero kit lip for S4's is very nice while keeping stock lines. The lip, aero guards and OEM mudguards looks sweet!

SikFC3S 02-09-11 11:48 AM

My Car is an S5 Vert..

SikFC3S 02-09-11 11:49 AM

Do you have any pics with this on the car? and side pics and stuff?? i want to see how it looks on the car.. It looks great tho!

Ill be the first to throw up a combo breaker.

Its not for everyone but I love my kit. its not everyday you see a FC, and a kitted one on the streets is pretty rare in my opinion.
http://i56.tinypic.com/242ilmr.jpg

Hopefully ill repaint in a year and knock out more of the imperfections but I love it.

If you really want a car that stands out, go for the kit.

Not positive, but I'm pretty sure that they came only on the jdm s5's.

Mine's the replica made by JKL Racing.

lov-2-rev 02-09-11 02:00 PM

^ Nope. They were an option on s5 turbo II's here in the states. Possibly only 90-91....can't quite remember.

The "RobXX7" lips are beautiful in person. Great fitment. I believe he stopped selling them, but might be willing to mold another if you contact him.

arsinal4496 02-09-11 02:07 PM

^ahh, pretty interesting.

The lips RobsXX7 makes are indeed beautiful and can be installed so easily too. The screw holes already come dimpled on the lip its self. U just have to drill em out accordingly depending if u have an s4 or s5. if hes still making em, id be interested in buying a second lip for back up. Having a really narrow driveway entrance, and a lip dont mix too well hahaha

SikFC3S 02-10-11 08:38 AM

I can say that if i was going to kit my car i would do this same exact kit because its suttle...

Rob XX 7 02-10-11 08:54 AM

I have one that someone was supposed to buy but never did, I made it very flexible.
It is meant to paint or you would have to sand and polish it, I did not make it shiny gelcoat ( which I offered as a option when I was making them )

I only stopped because first of all I have a busy shop and little time for these things. I dont have undocumented workers or little boys in taiwan banging these things out with a chopper gun, they are all hand laid glass and high quality resin. I also ran a group buy and time ran out on that. I had to source out custom boxes to cut down on the shipping cost, between making them, boxing them, etc its a losing proposition for me. It was just meant to be a fun project and if I ever damaged my own lip again I could just make myself one and not pay the $65 shipping others charge

I would get some people who said it fit great, and some who I can only suspect car's were a big banged up .
I fit this lip on a s4 car and a s5 car that I personally owned and it fit them perfect to 95%+ perfect which I feel is all you can ask of a aftermarket fiberglass part going on a 20+ year old car that relies on the alignment of the fenders and bumper, any of those are out a bit you wont notice until you go to bolt a semi-rigid piece such as a lip up then things start to show up. Others would go strictly off my holes and sometimes that doesn't work for your mounting holes and requires some adjustment, some people get this principle and some do not.

arsinal4496 02-11-11 10:27 AM

@ SikFC3S: thanks man. ill definetly get some kinda thread going when its done. things gone threw paint, new motor, turbo, standalone, suspension work, brakes, ect ect. but anyways the guy u need to hit up is right above me "Rob XX 7". Shine makes really good diffusers, cant say to much cause i dont own one, but they look really good.

@Rob: mine fit dead on. Ofcoarse i had to pull and adjust the fenders abit. But like u said these are 20+ year old cars so that was to be expected. I drilled the holes alittle bigger than necessary to give me room to move it around a bit and just replaced the screws with bolts and oversized washers to make it even more secure/sturdy. so these are no longer for sale huh?

I have the mold, I always have resin, I have the boxes, if someone contacts me I would make them, I dont have hardware anymore and wont be buying another box of them either, no one else I know of supplies hardware with their lips anyhow

arsinal4496 02-11-11 02:13 PM

mine didnt come with hardware. but then again, i didnt even know it was supposed to  i remember u gave me a really reasonable price so sourcing up extra bolts and washers was not a problem either way, especially since i have em all over my garage haha.

its good to hear u can make them whenever, im in no particular rush as id be buying this as a spare anyways. i will be contacting u with in a month and see if we can do business again. doing taxes tomorrow and hoping uncle sam is good to me this year again :)

Rob XX 7 02-11-11 03:14 PM

if you bought one late I ran out of hardware and at the time had a hard time getting good replacements so I stopped the hardware

maybe i could jump in on this... maybe  pretty please

Rob XX 7 06-15-12 06:56 PM

considering another run of these if there is interest.
I think I have a few upstairs that are meant for paint, I can sell them painted in basic white or black, and of course white or black gelcoat finish.
Remember I make these in-house, fiberglass is not a hobby for me it is how I make a living.
