Lego RX-7

I had a free week and I decided to create a model of the FC in Lego.
I used the Lego digital designer software because I don't have that much parts I needed for the model. the scale should be around 1/24 when assembled. Lego is not known for getting ultra-detailled models, but I think it looks good. around 420 parts :) |
You must build it first. Then the applause will come.

hard to distingush it as an FC, has that celica supra style front end But thats cool i didnt know Lego had software for people to make their own stuff.. and just being a matter of going out and buying all 420 pieces lol
i think if you design it they will sell it to you as a kit rather than you having to go hunt down each part. Pretty nifty really. Way to go lego....leggo my eggo? wait what.
lmbo......i love it
Looks awesome. The rear is a little weird though. Its hard to get an accurate look because its such a small scale (1/24). But still awesome work.
not sure i dig the front chin spoiler... either way would love to see it built!
needs more camber lol
make it 1/10th scale!
Porsche 944?
yeah I also want to change the front, but it is hard to form the OEM spoiler, I think I will change it.
@championadrien: what should I change on the rear? btw: Lego does offer to send all parts of the models created by the LDD software including package and manual styling. But for this model it would cost around $85, which is also the reason I only posted the 3D images. |
yeah, it's really sad how expensive legos are these days.
also, are you the same Ydna as on pbnation and shocker owners? |

As a child to teenager, I ate, breathed, and dreamed about legos. My question is, how would you physically build this part? It's one thing to do it on a computer, but I don't know of any brick that can make an angle like that.
There is a small hinge piece attached to the roof to allow that angle. Looks like you put alot of work into the design, now just build it cause thats the fun part.

I almost used parts which were available 10 years ago. this small prisms didn't exist and these round one I used for the fenders.
The pic below shows the stone I used for the A-pillar Actually I am numbering how many stones of each kind I need, the software does not has an option for this |

People have been doing this for a while. Some of these are stock sets. ANNNNNND i grew up playing with legos which explains why i dick around with cars, bikes or anything else that has moving or static parts i can combine to make something cool. |
