more info on the rear hatch cover.

FD3S-K 10-01-08 02:51 AM

pretty sure its just sheet metal welded down. simple.

caeya 10-02-08 10:17 AM

i believe the hatch is formed lexan... from what he posted on our local forum.

psychotic7 10-02-08 10:26 AM

I would also like to know where he got the hatch lid...im a fan of the REXASAURUS look....i would get a rear window out of a small truck(S10) so it would be street legal for me...cant wait to see more pics

rotaryride 10-02-08 10:34 AM

wwhy dont i see a roll cage?

NoPistons! 10-02-08 12:58 PM

I would hump all over it. You slide it well, very well. What kind of suspension mods? Turbo or na?

Origin aero kit?

Tyler [S5 FC] 10-02-08 03:17 PM

Did you buy that hatch, or did you fab it yourself? I have a friend with lots of money $$$$ ching ching dolla dolla bill y'all. And really wants a htch exactly like that. Can you give me a link as to where you got it or if you did fab. How much would you charge to build another one? He'll make it worth your while too! Send me a PM for any info. Thanks!

FD3S-K 10-02-08 03:50 PM

He did it himself.
Stock s5 turbo i believe?

Cage is one of his next mods.

You dont need a rear window to be legal.

Minnionator 10-02-08 03:54 PM

Dunno about that...

I just don't like prefabbed overfenders.
Don't care of the body kit either.
I don't get why guys like to take nice pics of a boro car...

That fiberglass "cover" that replaces the hatch is interesting though...

I really don't care about the wheel offsets, unless you like servicing wheel bearings, but that's your choice, right?

I've never complained about "camber curves" and non-ideal ride heights.

You must be confusing me with someone else.

Sounds like something i would say.

Agreed, plus the sarcastic answer implies it's nothing special. To me it's more fun to go fast than look stupid.

I hate that your ports are around the same size as mine, makes me feel insecure in many ways.

Turbo II Rotor 10-02-08 07:37 PM

Ha ha, your intakes are a little on the small side too but mine will bolt right up to your block.

fcdrifter13 10-02-08 07:43 PM
