I you HAVE to own an Oxymoron-mobile

This might be a consideration. If this belongs to a forum member, of if someone knows which forum member currently belongs to this, post up. Curious what part of the country this car is located.

I have to admit, and I'll have to wash my mouth out with soap after saying, nicely done.

i cant say the exterior fits my taste, but no doubt its well put together. Cleaner than alot of cars. The bodykit is mismatched, not a fan of those wheels.

Deentwon 02-09-10 12:51 AM

good lord.. if even had 2 grand id make a bid on that.

cone_crushr 02-09-10 01:05 AM

Apparently there's record snowfall in hell too. Hozz, you're a sucker for a snazzy paint job. Just because Satan dresses pretty, doesn't mean he's not interested in your soul for eternity.

Maybe frijolee is rubbing off on you, I guess everyone has a price; maybe yours involves good engineering. :icon_tup: Yawn, another soulless vettex7.

LOL The soap mouthwash has made me all better now. But you have to admit, a snazzy paint job and apparently in large part same body kit won the most recent SevenStock award for my friend Eddie. So apparently I'm not the only one that is a sucker for that. ;) However, I'm not a fan of those wheels either.

As to your frijolee comment, time to use that soap again to wash those cooties off.

I am disappointed Brismo hasn't chimed in yet. I'm expecting a certain SevenStock photo to find it's way to this thread.

It will be interesting what the highest bid that car ultimately commands.

Demonsniper1 02-09-10 02:48 AM

" This is the best of both worlds, Euro car mates with American muscle! MAZDAVETTE"

So umm what part of the car is Euro?

clokker 02-09-10 07:05 AM

No way that car weighs 2400 lbs.

fc3s91 02-09-10 01:05 PM

John, I'll bring a bottle of hot sauce over so you can wash your mouth out.:nono:
Now if it had a HEMI in it, now we are talking.:egrin:

NoPistons! 02-09-10 02:26 PM

Amelia body kit....

GTFO fag.

Sounds like the kind of tool who just slaps a car together all nice and shit and really doesn't care about it. It's as if it was built TO SELL on ebay, espn auction style. The fucker doesn't even know what the non-domestic parts on the car are called.

Hey asshole. RE-AMEMIYA. GET IT RIGHT.

frijolee 02-09-10 05:43 PM

That car's been listed repeatedly and never makes reserve price.

Here's last time: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...K%3AMEWAX%3AIT

Problem seems to be that no one wants to buy a car for top dollar when the owner doesn't seem to know what he's talking about. It just raises too many questions about the rest of the build. "BAD TO THE BONE YO!!!"

Maybe it's just the economy but this not selling is really a shame given the LS3 and some nice parts. All it needs is better wheels/tires, redoing the interior, and maybe some better body kit fitment, (plus a thorough going over) and this could be pretty solid.

Why don't you buy it John? You know, broaden your horizons a bit. The problem with the dark side is that we tend to have lots of reasons why we think the swap is superior. Where as rotary folks, well, they've still go their souls to worry about... :stickpoke

Rob XX 7 02-09-10 05:49 PM

that car is still bad ass

The only way I could even bid that car is if Brismo gave me back my hat.

Not saying I would buy it mind you as I have it from reliable source that when St. Peter takes tally at the Pearly Gates, blasphemous treatment of an RX7 on your record is an automatic strike against you getting in. Wouldn't want the guilt by ownership association. ;)

I'm remain really curious of what it ever sells for. A little surprised it was a fail at $9 grand.

What do you know? We agree unequivocally for once.

HOZZMANRX7 02-10-10 01:55 AM

LOL

There must indeed be "record snowfall in hell":lol::icon_tup:

rotordad 02-10-10 09:51 AM

Well it does have alot of mods, paint looks good, the LS3 is nice, but not 1st place show winner. Unless the show is a local small show. The painted mustang wheels are no good, should have invested in something different, even a set of Cobra wheels would have been better. The racing stripes not my thing & I agree the body pieces don't match. The interior was not show winning either, anyone notice the cable exposed on the passenger side by the shifter. So yes a nice car, but could use some work to be better. Just my opinion.

FC_EDDIE 02-10-10 09:55 AM

dang. I'd buy that car in a heartbeat!!!!

Too bad I'm in dyer need of a DD :(

Racing stripes can be removed (if the are only vinyl) and wheels can prob stay for a while, otherwise not a bad looking car and super clean swap although I will admit that Frijolee has THEE best V8 (streetable) swap I've seen in person. If he wasnt married he'd surely have himself my GF as his own after the ride she went on with him LOL :icon_tup: I believe she mentioned something about changing her panties after that traction breaking stroll hahahaha

I got a legit shreik out of her twice on that drive. :D

The most fun is to sandbag it and only give your passenger 1/2 throttle for the first part of the drive so they think they know what they're in for. Then you surprise them and really drop the hammer.

Thanks for the kind words Eddie...

Joel

TheAbsence 02-10-10 07:29 PM

That does look like a clean swap and the engine sits pretty far back. As far as the intake goes, I would duct it like Brismo did (or was that Joel?) in front of the radiator. If that car was cleaned up a little I think it would be pretty decent, but if I was going to swap a Vette engine in an FC, I would want a stock body for that super sleeper look. I didn't think I would ever see an Amemiya front bumper (probably a Shine Auto replica) on a v8 swapped FC :P

I still want a ride in a v8 swapped FC just to see how it feels and how the powerband behaves in relation to the original rotary.

We talked about it last night and finally admitted to being scared LOL She's telling me not to make my FC that fast

I personally love the feeling of a built car making boost. The creep is insane...a tease if you will... kinda like when a hot chick slowly starts to take her top off... you just cant wait til its all in plain sight like MAMA MIA!!!!!!!!!!!!!

they may as well be different vehicles, they behave totally different and you would think you were in a different car.
I sold my V8 FC in the fall but it was interesting going from one car to the other.

smokie 02-12-10 11:05 AM

although its a nicely built car....im not a fan of dropping a vette motor in a 7....just for that im going to get a corvette and put a 3 rotor in it

Actually, I have it on reliable source that GM intended on Wankeling the Vette a long time ago. GM just couldn't figure out how to get the Wankle right so they went with second best.:lol:

They built two prototypes, correct? I think one had a 4.0 liter two rotor and the other didn't have an engine, but somewhere down the line someone dropped a Mazda rotary into it. My knowledge of this is pretty fuzzy so please correct any mistakes of mine. Can you imagine if the fuel crisis of the 70's never happened and the modern Corvette had a rotary engine? There would probably have been more companies than just Mazda and Chevrolet that would have developed rotaries, each with their own unique features. The research and development of rotaries from multiple companies over the past 30 years could have produced a modern rotary capable of 30mpg and 200 hp/liter. We'll never know :\
