Hey guys! Happy new years! So since I have some free time on my hands, and a bit of money left over after these holidays I thought I’d try something new. I’ve never been a fan of drop in bulbs. I hate when drivers with them are behind me in traffic flooding my cabin with unaimed light.

So, I thought I’d try this out. I’m no pro. This is not meant to be a definitive guide on how to build these. This is just a project I’ve been wanting to do for a really long time now. If you’ve don’t feel comfortable doing this yourself go check out sakebombgarage. Their product looks fantastic!

Onto the build. The projectors I ended up using were just a generic D2S projector I came across on online. My reason for using a D2S projector was just a matter of size. If you’ve ever looked at the headlight bucket in our cars they really don’t have too much room. Keep in mind that once the connectors are on the length of the housing is increased. These particular projectors are also bi-xenon so I retained the option of high/low beams.

The headlight housings were a pair I picked up from a cousin. They’re great because they are a non-flutted glass, however they are missing the “DOT” insignia on the glass. I don’t find this as too much as a problem. If I were to get pulled over I assume an officer would already cite me for modified lighting as they would already look suspicious. Who know’s maybe I’ll try this again someday.

Originally, I ordered gattling projector shrouds but I didn’t think about the size. They don’t fit at all in our housings. So, I went with e55 shrouds from TRS. Fit and finish was great.

These projectors are able to disassemble making assembly so much easier.

That’s all I have for now. Waiting for these pieces to dry, and some parts to come in the mail. If this is in the wrong section feel free to move it. Overall, I’m digging how these are coming along.

when it comes time to fit them in the car let me offer this advice: leave the bulbs out of them and run the lights up and down by hand first to check clearance.
when its all good put the bulbs in last. mount the ballasts as well to check clearance- this is where extended length harness on the ballasts really comes in handy

Sorry guys been caught up with school and work at the hospital. Hoping to have some free time this weekend though. Everything is dried and I'm going to try the fit.

Sorry bud! Been busy with school. Last semester of undergrad so I've had my attention else where. Haven't taken pics of everything mounted yet. Its a bit of a bitch to say the least. There is a beam that sits behind the bucket that it knocks on when retracting but a small spacer should take care of this
