Helllo i recently got a Mazda rx7 turbo II swap and RHD conversion.
i was wandering how much this car would be woth , basicly i want to see if i got a good deal or not.

in canada a landed jdm t2 goes fro liek 7g's...

but the american market is totally different.

I got it for around 5k US alltho it needs some Love to be perfect.. Paint wisee with will be done by spring.

i think i got a good deal it has a US title now my only concerns are is it going to be ok to register prob yea, but what about when a cOp pulls me over ? what do i say then, even with a Inspection Sticker

 

The front lights are supposed to have sidings aren't they? It looks like they are missing. If a cop pulls you over let them know your situation, most cops aren't that mean and could care less.

and i think a rhd conversion adds value to someone who wants a rhd car. b/c all the work is done for them.

Thats not aganist any state laws...

 

only worth decent money to someone who is looking for that kind of car. with a RHD conversion, one can never know just how well it was done... how much ghetto interior/wiring work may have been done.

 

So did you VIN swap it or is it a RHD CONVERSION not an import?

I personally wouldn't want to drive an RHD.. but they are fun to look at.

My personal thoughts are you have a $3500 car. The bodykit is an ebay special with marginal fitment, no name wheels with a poor offset, missing all the front lenses..

But what i think doesn't matter...

 

If the mileage is decent that seems like a good deal. I guess a lot of it would depend on how good the condition of the engine is.

It looks awesome though, I'd be happy with it.

 

I'd say it's about $4500 to $5k car. You could easily get that for resale, I believe. The wheels sure don't look right, and the kit is kinda wonky, but if you're painting it, just fix the fitment. If the motor is mechanically sound, then it should be worth that.

My pal used to have a RHD swapped 240 and he got pulled over and the cop went to the wrong window and was like "WTF." Then he asked if the car had proper registration being an import, but it was a US car. The cop was thoroughly confused as to why someone would do that.

 

So am I! Why would you wanna do that? But what's even more weird to me is that people wonder if it's worth more after the conversion... I'm not saying it isn't, I would just be shocked if it is...

Well I sold this GEM with s5 turbo conversion for $4500..... ANd my body and interior were perfect....

 

but it wasent RHD right?

 

I forgot, that JDM stuff trumps a well built 1 owner car......

To you, that is how much its worth. I think these threads are pointless. While taking in minimal accounts of things, cars are only worth as much as a person is willing to pay for it.

 

thats my car i sold it to someone in pa. he paid 8 for it. I put a full turbo back rb exaust system, s.s. brake lines, full urathane bushing replace, the hks fcon unit, and the 17 adr wheels. He put the full stereo system in and idk what else he did but if you have any questions let me know....

 

O and i didnt cut the harnesses to link them up I got 2 spare harnesses one that went into the main fuse block and one that came from the rear and made a extention
