Does anyone recognize this RX7?

This is one of the cleanest I have seen. Does anyone have any info on it. The cars is from Illnois or Ohio. Chime in.

Hypertek 06-10-10 12:33 AM

From the looks of the UIM it looks like a 13B out of a Cosmo

JustJeff 06-10-10 01:22 AM

Also, anyone know about the hood

SIDEWAYZE_FC 06-10-10 01:49 AM

N/A hood with scoop and 22bsti style vents maybe...just a guess. nice looking paint job though

cosmo7 06-10-10 02:50 AM

iono but it is hella clean tho

KrazyRX-7 06-10-10 03:13 AM

carbonfiber hood and +20 MM wide fenders from mazdatrix. linky:P
http://www.mazdatrix.com/k89-92.htm

scroll down, but it looks like the hood is painted in the pics??

DC 91 fc3s 06-10-10 03:22 AM

what rear spoiler is that??

RHDturboII 06-10-10 10:58 AM

Mazdatrix used to sell that wing.

puhpaper 06-10-10 11:26 AM

Fenders look like the 30mm vented from corksport.

Yup. If you look at the top banner on this website, its the same car...

Last I heard the car was changing owners multiple times around chicago, had a tired motor and a bad ebay turbo. That was a few months ago though, maybe somebody has since fixed it up.

Search 13BRE. Its out of the eunos cosmo and is similar to the 13BREW motor that FD's use.

This is one of the best looking FCs, IMHO anyways. With exceptions I want those fenders for my own 1988 RX7 vert, and the hood would be sweet. I also plan on using the XXR 521 17 x 7 wheels.

rotordad 06-10-10 02:14 PM

Damn clean FC, but I'm not big on that wing.

TheAbsence 06-10-10 03:03 PM

Why is the hood scoop in the middle? Terrible. If it had an N/A hood it would be a clean car. With bigger front brakes, stock taillights and a more traditional spoiler, it would be perfect.

I love the intercooler fitment and body work though.

KrazyRX-7 06-10-10 04:08 PM

i plan on using a turbo hood on my N/A. i was going to prop the rear of the hood up about an 1/4 to 1/2 inch. for a way to vent some of the hot air out from under the hood, but after looking at the mazdatrix hood the vents they used would be much better, and look alot cleaner.
the second mod to my t2 hood is going to be a custom hood underbelly. im going to use a K&N filter, and make a custom cold air box to block off some of the heat from the manifold, the end result will be a Ram Air fed rx7. i got the idea from a hood i had on one of my mustangs(88 GT 5spd with t-tops) it was from curvini's auto desgin(i know my spelling sucks) its a ram air hood they sell for lots of car's and is dyno/track proven to lower ET's enough to make it worth the work IMO. i would love to hear what you gurus have to say about it. and sorry for jakcing the thread but i might be on to somthing, no? thanks guys!

that would be a waste to use those fenders on 17x7 honda civic sized wheels sir

Probably have to bump up to the 18s then, but then, I like to have meaty tires on my wheels so I don't think it would be a complete waste.

digitalsolo 06-10-10 06:28 PM

He has the same crappy wheels I do. :)

Nice looking car.

the wheels look good. i know most girls dont know brands, i think before it needs wheels it needs the dam panels aligned. When cars like this or even stock cars for thaat matter are posted up that "look" nice, sometimes i wonder wtf ppl are looking at.
