Do you keep your rare or limited model specific or option parts?

I've been wondering what the rest of the community with the less than common model's or option parts do with their model specific, rare or limited parts when they modify. KEEP or SELL.

I'm heading down the turbo path and I'm on the fence about my parts. I have the room and an understanding wife, but some of my parts have been in the garage already for 10 plus years. I was thinking I could return it to stock if I ever sold it. Now doing a TII swap I can't see ever returning it to stock. If you sell, some of these parts might be hard to source later.

tastefully modified cars can hold their value, don't believe that "it should be sold cheap because its modified" mumbo jumbo. If you list the car for sale in the future and people lowball your asking price, than don't sell it to them, the right buyer will come along. But that is as long as it is tastefully modified imo, high quality parts, no ebay stuff etc. I would expect a nicely modified rx7 FC anywhere from 5-9k.

But as far as you wanting to mod it, I say as long as you keep full interior. I love my full interior.

I keep all sorts of rare things. I've got a box of cargo nets, and another box of center console compartment change holders/cup holders, and at least 4-5 very very clean rear cargo shelfs with the strings and such intact from 2g eclipses. And I have some other misc parts from 1g eclipses. I imagine these parts will eventually be worth decent money for those trying to restore them.

Same goes with unmodded a-pillars. I usually pull those too, though they aren't really rare, or hard to find.

Though I do have a cat back exhaust, that was way to loud for dsm, it sounds good just too loud, and is out of production. Keeping it until someone offers up 400$ for it.

I've been hording FC parts, especially rare parts with no plans of selling, or even using them. Just like knowing I have them.

I'm talking part swapping. Like my 4.30 rear end swapped to TII. Its model specific, not seen in any other car. Or your factory TII wheels? I've seen them for sale but not like every other model. Or your factory TII wheels?

Are the aero parts in front of the rear tires on s4's considered rare parts? or factory mudflaps on s5's?

i wouldn't consider those rare parts.

the OEM mazda FC3S mud flaps i had were rare, i sold them because i had no plans of using them as it isn't my taste.
