what are you using to apply the resin to the parts? brush or a roller? ive been having trouble getting it to lay smoothly and without bubbles. great work by the way!!

Hot damn those are awesome. Might be just the ticket to get the FC a more modern look. Course I do like the classic look too but I can't deny that great carbon look.
|
This could help save some half broken/cracked S4 center console trim.
|
thanks blue warrrior!!! yea man these pieces are sure changing things up.. this saturday is confirmed for install!
driftxsequence.. sure can!!! this will be the install car. only photo i have of it https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rx7...7c654a7baf.jpg im excited to see how it all looks inside! |
well im trying to get the photos on.. the camera was too good! lol the photos are way too big . anysize wont fit in here. ill need to get photobucket or something.
I posted on the facebook groups "rx7" and Rx7 rotary" you can see them tehre for now! |
speakers and the compartment/ storage doors are not finished... might loook close but still needs sanding and clear coat
|
not bad at all
|
looks good but i do believe in overkill, the bins are too much. i have been planning on doing a few bits in my FC and i was planning on starting with the brittle A pillars as well as the stereo surround and gauge hood. transforming all the plastics inside to CF, i just don't think i could stand it.

Dude those parts all look incredible!! What type/brand resin do you use? Does it level itself to that shine? When you sand them what grit do you use and then how do you finish them to get them that shiny?
I am sorry to hit you with all these questions but I have made a lot of crumby parts out of carbon that I had to scrap. Major props for doing such an amazing job, quit your damn day job!!! |
