crown vics rubbing with spacer?
3 Attachment(s)
So I recently picked up a set of double lip crown vics. I knew I needed a 5 mm spacer. So i machined a set of hub centric spacers out of .1875 aluminum. And when i installed them the rims still rub just a little on the nub that sticks out of the 4-pot caliper. Now I know that 5 mm is actually .1968 but does that mean that everyone running vics with a 5 mm spacer only has .0093 of a gap between the caliper and the rim?

Pretty much lol, they are pretty tight

you machined your own spacer? cool as fuck

maybe try stacking a pair to see if that clears then make a 6mm one or just buy some
i hate slip on spacers, have had bad luck. |
I just took the calipers off and machined the boss on them down .125 clearance is much more acceptable now with the wheel spacers

that was one suggestion i thought of. kind of alot of work tho but the best solution

exactly. grind that shit off so you dont have to remove the calipers
my brother just threw some rims on and he forgot the spacer, chewed up the back of rim, so he just grinded down the caliper |
Nice combo
