carbon fiber sunroof panel

hey all, just updating. i got the cf sunroof panel of retro-spec aka fazzt73. it fits pretty well, only 2 things he could fix.
1) find some way for the interior panel to fit or make both side cf
2) when making the actual panel, find some way to bend the back 2 corners down. they stick up a little too far, but thats ok.
i need to get a new seal, cause my old one sucks. besides that, it fits great, nice and light, and is a sweet replacement to the old one. ill have pics later.

so, pics as promised. i figured while i was at it i would do a mild photoshoot with a POS camera in the new bart parking

as you can see, it fits quite well. i just need a new seal, badly.

my one and only complaint, besides the bad communication with fazzt73. no way to mount the interior piece. ill figure something out, not that horrible though.

and i was having fun with a ae86. nice *** car, it was sweet, not a good shot though.

You know, if anyone wants them ill trade for some 235/40/18 tires, have to be at least 90 percent tread though

Yes there is, there are sinkmarks in the inner panel where the snaps go. holes need to be drilled and the inner panel will snap in, i just explained magnus how to do it if he confirms the location is right they eill come with holes.
Thanks, Paulo.

Did you had to redrill one of the holes on the body?

Remember this is a newer version than the one I received, and is still has some minor issues. The question is; would you be happy if you actually paid for it?

Like I stated, it was direct bolt on and actually fit more securely than the stocl panel. The one you had was a prototype if you will, and all has been resolved. Oh, I took a look at the backside and all I have to do is retap the holes in able to get the panel to fit. Ill do that tonight or tommorrow

Lloyd

Edit: listen knonfs, you had a bad transaction, nuff said. I'm sorry you're still butthurt about the whole thing, but I would be very happy with the product, specially if there were directions about mounting the panel or something. I like it, so let it be.
Oh, and its VERY difficult to make something without having someway to double check fitment

Magus:

1. you got yours free and ANY transaction where you have to work with a product that you got free is NOT the same
2. you did not have anywhere NEAR the amount of time that KNOFS had invested in chasing this guy down and trying to get anything in the way of resolution

You telling him about a butt hurting is just asinine in my opinion really, I think any vender ANY vender that takes advantage of people on the boards for any reason should be considered for removal, although on the other side these are products being made for these cars that not alot of people make or deal with. But regardless of that communication and managing your customers expectations is key if you can't make a good product and communicate about when how where and why you just can't offer it for sale period. I was going to spend about 2-3 thousand dollars on my frame up with this guy for custom CF, including door panels that would end up making alot of guys happy on the boards but I dont think I could even stomach that thought after reading all this.

In short your "butthurt" would be in the same position as KNOFS if you had dealt with what he had so be a little understanding about his stance will you.
