A hack saw or battery powered saw makes very very very quick work of the steering wheel, bend and slide that contraption out of the way, toss it out the window.
Those things only keep away "honest" thieves. They also advertise that it is the only security device to be defeated on the car.
Total waste of money.

I use the club that your supposed to put on the brake peddle and I use it on my clutch peddle, won't be able to start the car because of the clutch lock.
Steering wheels clubs are a waste of time and money.

It's pretty embarrassing to get hit with your own "theft device" when the car is driving away..lol!

So true.... well at least for many 7's around. Add a hidden fuel kill switch and they will think:
"Old POS doesn't even start! Screw this...."
either that or:
"Kill switch, eh? This POS isn't worth the time looking for it....Screw this..."

actually the one time one of my cars did get broken into, we found the guy later that day and told his mom... seriously who steals stuff from an 88 mazda?
the answer, only someone ELSE with an 88 mazda, and we all know each other.....

boom, anti-theft system.
boom, anti-theft system.
I have a quick release steering wheel and a kill switch.
But a club is a great deterrent for the average mall thief looking for a quick grab since he sees it won't be easy unless he plans it out.

I don't leave anything valuable in my car when I'm at the store or something, and I rarely leave my 7 alone by itself in public for much time. Plus its rare for anyone breaking into a car around here.
My home anti theft system for my cars starts with:
-Living in the backwoods of the middle of nowhere, down a long driveway over a hill.
-guns
-and three of these:

I leave the keys in my cars, unlocked. I feel certain, that no one is going to venture out here to steal something, when the odds of them getting away at all are, well, quite slim.
...
When I lived in chicago though, that killed me knowing people where walking right by my car at all hours of the day. When I use to have my honda, I would dream several times a month(still do occasionally lol) that it was stolen. Wake up, and run to the window in a panic to make sure it was still there... lol. I don't miss living in the city.

i would make quick work of your clutch switch with a paper clip, and i can drive a clutchless manual, Just-Fine. then again with those skills, why would i want to steal your old mazda?
