For looking good, that one takes the cake. I seem to remember your thread about that. Is that a one off for your application?

$5 strap at wal-mart. It's what I use, passes every tech. inspection and has never once slipped.

It's "one-off" in the sense that I made it but it's a copy of one I saw in a local race shop.
Originally it was for my 240Z, had I built it for the 7 I'd have done the base differently.

My buddy and I had to think of something quick before an autocross and this seemed to work well.

The tech inspector was not pleased. But I ran anyway... With pressures as low as 17 PSI in my used, wrong sized front tires...

Lol, that won't fly with most drift inspections. But yes, I have used bungee cord many of times at AutoX, they're usually pretty lenient.

For all those searching (like me) I came across this today - Battery Safety Strap color coded versions available too if you're like me and like things to match.

I got a ding one time years ago when i went to a drift event for having a metal tie down. I don't know if the rules prefer non conductive tie downs like rubber and plastic or not now. I like the stock metal type ones for durability, hate the rubber ones because they dry rot and come apart after awhile.
