Bad timing, Need some advice...

My transmission called it quits on my N/A 180,943 mile GXL.

I'm gonna say that I'm new to rotary, because reading doesn't compare to working on such an engine.

I convinced my parent that I need a new engine and tranny. But time is of the essence. I want to keep an N/A, but I can't drive out of state for a "pick up only" because my time frame will be overdue. I have a love/hate relationship with turbos,(more boost, less apex seals).

Pretend your me, I have to drive est.24 miles on weekdays, and est.20 miles on weekends; I have a little engine experience(very little), but it doesn't pertain to this delima.

Poll Question- Should I try and find an N/A, or go turbo.

*if you want to, give a reason behind your answer*

NA... You need to understand the Rotary more before you take the plunge.

true, I was going with my assumption that the pilot bearing would be fused to the eccentric shaft(it might not), And since its a high mileage engine, I'd basically have to rebuild the engine, and replace the transmission. I thought of turbo swaping because its like a drop-in procedure, except that I'd have to have a custom driveshaft to connect things, and that could take time. I haven't torn into a rotary engine yet, and I can't wait, but I'm mostly researching how, and what to do( in more detail) on engine components. The haynes isn't working for me anymore.

Thanks!

If this is your only car, the simplest solution is best.
