I would have never thought this thread would attract this much attention.

My bad dude. I just figured with more experience RX-7 owners they could help me out thats all. Not all of us have been around a Rotary engine for a lifetime. I will admit I have never owned a 7, YET, but when I get it I will gladly spend hours and hours familiarizing myself with the engine and its components. I have done a lot of research but Research can only get you so far as opposed to the "Real" thing. Thanks for your input and I hope all your future projects are a success.

Peace

You officially earned my respect! (not that it means much) by not bitching me out like I thought you might. Way to be a good seven owner, A+!

from the begining it didn't even sound like he would back out. read from the first post it was not his plan but his purpose.

Samples?

stylEmon 06-16-08 07:00 PM

would it be more cost effective to just get a s5 JSpec RX7?
It seems like all this swapping of motors, interior, turbo, suspoension, then buying mods... wow, thats sum bux.

I'd just take a HUGE short cut and buy a car that didnt need to be re-enginnered just to get started!

Anything else and you can ask a couple people who I put
graphics on their cars this weekend. We had a NW Rotor
meet here in Carnation. Tell me and I'll get someone to
photo the back of their car.

I mean you are right but where am I going to find one in Texas? Yet alone Houston. If you can find one for me in Houston, Tx for less than 800 with a good motor then PM the link.

imatuner 06-17-08 07:40 AM

haaa NP man... you should make a trip down to So Cal 1 day.... could hang out n we could make a drive for other so cal 7's owners.. if they want to... kinda expensive for gas though -_- almost $5 YIPPEEE (not -_-) hahha

especially if im trying to stay on 91 pump gas hahaha

stylEmon 06-18-08 11:11 AM

i thought houston had a great import scene?! You should be able to get jspec cars imported to FL right? 800 is a good deal, but it isn't cost efficient in the long run.

Good luck tho.

We do have a good import scene all I am saying is a JSpec's in Houston aren't common and I am not gonna get one imported.

ZOOKFC3S 06-19-08 02:56 AM

to me.. the best place in So cal to get JDM or J-spec motors.. would have to be Iwrandale and so on.. Long Beach... mostly City Of Industry and some L.A... but i get mine at C&t Motors.. there the best.. right here in Ontario :D

SpideyFan6010 06-19-08 09:33 PM

Should I do the RHD conversion before the The T2 conversion or after?

ZOOKFC3S 06-20-08 12:38 AM

i would say if you have the $$ and if you want to.. i would do the RHD conversion first then get the motor together... ima do that later but iono maybe keep it left hand drive hahaha.. iono yett.. up to you

I just want to know if waiting to do the RHD conversion later will be MORE of a hassle as opposed to doing it before the T2 switch thats all.

MaczPayne 06-20-08 01:37 AM

How much money do you have to spend?

I'm already >10k deep and I'm not even satisfied yet.

Well I plan on Spending around 10-12k for the whole project. If it requires more then I will spend more.No 1/2 ass projects here ;)

stylEmon 06-20-08 11:39 AM

and Max I'm sure your not doing T2 swaps and RHD swaps... that 10k you've spent is probably mods, upkeep, and replacements.
