I have a s5 cluster sitting for years, was originally going to maybe modify it with aftermarket gauges but your swap inspired me now.

Yeah, its worth you time to swap it for how much better it looks.

Rob XX 7 12-26-10 11:05 PM

im so used to the orange I did not like the yellow or whatever color the s5 cluster is, but my tach is way off at higher RPMs so maybe it will work better for me

Tinted the back and sides at 5%. Was going to go 35%, but figured hell why not go darker lol.

need to redo my weatherstripping some day...

new weatherstripping is the only way to go, helps keep water out of the doors as well

I have very dark tint in my car as well, sometimes at night I have to roll the window down to see where I am turning, lol

Yeah, I just got it done a couple days ago so can't roll the windows down yet. Drove about 4 hours last night in the dark, and it was a bit interesting lol. But I really like the way dark tint looks on the right car.

Here's a shot showing the spoiler since I redid it(again). I like it better without stickers...

Rob XX 7 12-31-10 02:19 PM

side streets, especially in the summer when the trees block the moonlight can be tough, you would not think that tiny piece that separates the small window from the door window would be in the way but I swear I am looking around that damm thing all the time at night

Thanks.. Had 5% on my truck a few years ago and never had an issue, but then that was a different state... Hope to avoid the cops with this as much as possible, figure in the summer it will all be opened up anyways. If I do get a ticket well, guess I had it coming.

Thanks dude. Agree so much on that.

This car treats me very well, only seems to fail mechanically when I'm home on a weekend and have access to a garage... Drivers headlight motor seized, have to steal one off the other car.

Got around to putting my tweeters in, sounds great.

Thanks, I just finished putting one in, stole it out of my other car. Will need to get one for that some day.

BDC 01-03-11 12:42 AM

Updates....

Got pulled over for tint less than two weeks after I had it put on, got off with a warning though. I'm a bit more careful now.

Found a good vert top locally, even has good weatherstripping! Lining it up to get it this spring.

Bought an antenna for under the windshield. Definitely worth the money, works great and no ugly stock antenna sticking up.

My s5 oem fogs came this week:D

http://i882.photobucket.com/albums/a...242/pix001.jpg

Install was much easier than I expected on the s4 car. I was expecting to have to fab up brackets. Nope.
http://i882.photobucket.com/albums/a...242/pix002.jpg

mmm sexy.
http://i882.photobucket.com/albums/a...242/pix003.jpg

Just have to find yellow glass stain for them. Can't find the shit anywhere, the only place I know that sells it is 4 hours away from me.

Primos003 02-07-11 11:05 AM

What does the yellow glass stain do? I always thought that yellow fogs looked dirty or something, but if it serves a purpose... :icon_tup:

leesperf 02-07-11 04:13 PM

good looking car

Goldfinger 02-07-11 06:07 PM

Nate,

Your car is looking great. You are giving me some ideas for my 90 vert. Can you share more information about the antenna you picked up that goes under the windshield? Where did you get it? Cost? Ease of install? Thanks.

Spirit-RE 02-07-11 08:45 PM

RoninRX7-thanks, I will look into that stuff.

Goldfinger-Got it at Best Buy, $25. Tell them your looking for an amplified antenna that mounts under the windshield. Install is cake, run a power and ground, and plug the antenna cord into the radio.
