The $400 S4 Vert Resurrection

You can't really hear the tone of the greddy good on my car because of the hellish exhaust leak from the mid-pipe flanges lol. But when that exhaust was on my Turbo II, it sounded amazing, and the cool thing was when the car was under boost, the note changed and got much deeper.

you don't have to be a dick, I didn't install that idiot light thing, it came like that, as far as the bleeder being stripped, I had nothing to do with that, it was a auto zone part so it probably came like that, I've gotten messed up parts from them before, (water pump with stripped out holes to mount the pulley) the brake lines by the strut came on the car that length when I got it, i may have put the pads on wrong though, when you bought it I told you, it needed work, so don't be blaming me for all the stuff that was wrong, talk to the owner before me

I can buy parts for a v8 from anywhere, Unlike a rotary engine, where you have to wait 4-7 days, and as I said I bought it in the same condition I sold it to him in, I didn't do anything to it, as far as I'm concerned people who are into rotary's are all a bunch of **** munching ****, who are too big of *****'s to play with real cars with v8's, a engine that needs a turbo to produce any amount of decent hp is just plain gay, and also pretty stupid, I can rebuild a 350 for like $500, what is a rotary rebuild like 1200 just for parts?
also I beat the living **** out of that car when I drove it, have fun when it does the thing where it wont rev over 2000rpm...

Please don't crap on another members thread. If you're a V8 guy and like to call us rotary engines guys, "a bunch of **** munching ****" then why don't you leave the forum and stop trolling.
As for the car, looks like it has some real potential.

I NEVER stated your name in the thread, so idk why you feel you have to be so defensive. All I said was previous owner, and you made your point that it wasn't your fault, cool, at that point you could of left. But, no, you had to proceed to talk ****, which leads me to:
Using childish profanity on rotary guys, on their website... Well I don't really have to say anything about that, you know it'll just cause a flame war.
V8's are cheap... Cool, go build a v8 then. I was raised around v8's and everyone and their mom has one. I like rotarys because their different, because you really have to know your **** to build them successfully. I am fully aware I can build a old v8 car and get more hp/dollar. But hey, I really don't care, as I am one to prefer rotarys.
Yeah our motors are so gay. "stoopid rotary guys needs turbo to compete. gayy!"
Oh and if you would of taken the "4-7 days" to order the tps, and fix the fact that the 5th and 6th ports wouldn't open, the car would of ran better for you.
Now I did not resort to taking shots at your, or V8 sevens for that matter. You've made your "points" now I know you won't but please stop shitting in my thread and GTFO. kthnxby

Wow, it's amazing to see my door panels live on in another car. I put a lot of work into those, and I'm glad you like em!
You've done a hell of a job on those two cars btw! Good luck with your projects.
BTW: you coming to DGRR-X this year?

Yeah, door panels look really nice in the car. Idk if I'll be going to dgrr, I really want to go, but my coupe sure as hell won't be done by then, and between my work schedule and the drive I'm not too sure...
But I'm planning on going next year for sure.

LOLOLOLOL dont forget to turn it at 2500-3000 rpm for 30min to brake it in proprly lol.
seriously, the OHV engines are dead, in 10yrs their going to be like flatheads are today. if you want to build a real V8 get a DOHC 5.4 ford mod motor. those bitches crank, but i still wouldnt put one in anything other then a base FC or FB, i would never put one in an FD lol.

Changed out the power steering system for a S4 manual rack. Took quite a bit of time to do this, but it was definitely worth it, the steering feels so much more natural.
Only pic I took well doing this:
Everything ready to go in.
And here we have the little f*cker that tried to burn the car up:
The only damage was a black spot on the acv. Glad I noticed the fire when I did!

A bit of a update...
-Swapped out the 3.90 dif for a 4.10 one I had sitting around. The powerband is much better now. I think that the 3.90 is the main reason the S4 verts are so damn slow. Now it can actually go up hills without having to downshift(being I have wired ports and what not).
-Put a stock front lip on that I stole off my other FC(going s5 body on that). The lip that was on this was tore up from hitting something, and the brace things that hold the brake venting ducts were pushed up a good 3 inches, so got that straightened out too.
-Got the leaky exhaust fixed. The GReddy exhaust sounds great. Nice QUIET deep tone.
-Just got a sport wing/duckbill, whatever you want to call it.
-Ordered DTSS eliminators for it, as the stock bushings like to make the rear end squirrel around when I hit bumps.
Um... that's about all I can think of right now, planning on getting a cd player for it tomorrow, as it has had no working radio since I have had it.
Also am going to start to accumilate parts for a turbo NA setup, so much for planning on keeping it stock...
Random pics I took at random times:
A 7 in its natural habitat.... on jackstands.
Dif out, did it by lowing the subframe, kept the exhaust in it too. The people that say you can take a dif out without touching the subframe are crazy, as I don't see anyway its possible. I've pulled 3 subframes, and next time I take a dif out, the subframe is getting dropped too, as it saves a lot of time.
4.10 left, 3.90 right. zomg they look the same. The 4.10 had almost new fluid in it already too.

Cd player in, with nice speakers from my old TII. Painted up any faded trim, cleaned up and clear coated the bolts that are on the bottom of the top. Planning on attacking the rust hopefully this week, but I said that a month ago lol.
Here's the duckbill. Now it has a sexy ***...

Thanks for the comments.
I had ordered dtss eliminators from MMR a couple weeks ago, and nothing came and they wouldn't contact me, so long story short, I got my money back through paypal. Now I just ordered them through Racing Beat.
Took the rear hubs off and had the new wheel bearings pressed in at a local shop, and one came out great, and the other one had a bit of a hang up after we got the new one in. When he was pressing it out, the new bearing exploded... So now I will just buy a hub with a good bearing used.
And being the car will be down until I get another hub, I spent all afternoon starting to cut the rust out of the drivers side, and yes its super rotted(but fixable).
