Who else welded their UIM and LIM?
Who else modified their UIM and LIM to remove the unused nipple instead of putting vacuum caps?

Everything else, i TIG welded shut. I'll smooth and clean everything monday morning at the garage, and then paint them to match my freshly rebuild S4 NA. |
Done this about eleventy zillion times. :) On a few cars even gone so far as to cut away all the factory EGR/ACV passages, weld where necessary, and completely separate all the runners. Hell of a lot of work.

And i was also very surprised at how easy it was to weld, being 30+ years old aluminium that was in contact with oil/gas/whatever! |
