Tubular subframe/Kmember for the rotary FC

4 Attachment(s)
I currently make a tubular K member for the FC but it is made for an LSx swap. I am curious if anyone would be interested in these for a rotary powerd vehicle. If there is enough interest, i will start producing them for the stock rotary setup in an FC as well. Let me know your thoughts and if you would have interest.

Thanks.

I may be interested one day but certainly not yet. That being said how does the weight compare? And any ideas on rigidity?

Great piece of work. Kudos!

The prototype k member with LSX mounts weighed in at 24 Lbs. My old Stock K member with LSx mounts weighed in at 33 lbs. Thats a 9 lb difference between the two pictured above.

I do not have any rigidity numbers. The first few are finally getting into running cars so we will see how they hold up in a real world environment. That being said, these first few cars are not youre average power cars. A couple are purpose built drag cars so they should put them through the paces and we should know how well they hold up pretty quickly.

That’s a really nice looking piece of kit. Looks like it might provide better access to the bits around the rear subframe too; I remember fighting for quite some time with a breaker bar, long ago, trying to get a diff replace. Doesn’t hurt that this also seems like it’d be stronger and lighter than the factory piece. I’d buy one if I had an FC to put it on, and a shop to work on it in... maybe next year.

Shit. If these direct fit a REW, that would really resolve a LOT of issues and be a lot more profitable for you.

Best of luck, I saw this on Facebook and love your work man. Really excellent stuff, worth every penny.

That to me makes the most sense. A tubular K member that properly mounts a 13B-REW vs. the engine mount adapters that people seem to not be too fond of.
