hey guys, getting ready to rebuild my s4 4port engine. front rotor took a dump and suffered some carnage. so now im in the market for a rotor and rotor housing, while cleaning the parts i noticed some scorch marks on the side plates, now im looking for some advice to see if i can reuse them, should i go wax on wax off style on them or would getting them lapped help lol? also, my rear rotor housing has the water port for the turbo blocked off, can i throw that housing in the front and buy another rear for the rear lol? my nail can easily get cought in it.

pictures aren't really good enough to give you a good answer, the second picture it looks like there is a HELL step on it.

#1 is follow the FSM, and get some better pictures, cause these pictures make it look like its junk

3rd picture i'd say is junk because its got a gouge right where the corner seal goes over

Theres alot of scratching otherwise. I'd be reading the FSM and checking the step wear and flatness

shes boned, wtf killed those irons? looks like damage i see from ceramic apex seals...

all that scarring is going to make it burn lots of oil and trying to salvage them from machining and nitriting usually costs more than its worth.

thats what i was thinking, it was with mazda oem, or maybe atkins, not sure. motor had detonation. and the whole side of the rotor got screwed. luckily i picked up another mid plate. just wanted to know if this was salvageable. thanks
