Should I buy it?

I've loved the fc rx7 since I was a kid, it's practically my dream car after I fell in love with Mazda after buying my first car. I want one terribly, but I'm just nervous about the upkeep and reliability myths. Yes I'm mechanically inclined, I've drifted and road raced for years, but I've never rebuilt a motor. There is an na S5 vert for sale near me and the ad details:

94k miles
Working heat and AC
New top
100-110 psi on all pulses
Car is already premixed

I'm just nervous because I want this to also be my "show" car which I regularly drive 8-11 hours for, before it's brought up I do not care about owning a tII

Upkeep isn't too bad, especially on a non turbo. The FC's were pretty well built cars for their era. If that car is well maintained it sounds like a good one, new top and working AC are solid green flags. Non turbo's are pretty bulletproof, and with those good compression numbers, I wouldn't be concerned.

Keep in mind too, these cars are only getting harder to find, especially in good condition. If your on the fence, go for it! :icon_tup:

I owned an S5 vert for many years and absolutely loved it. I bought it with an overheated engine..... rebuilt it with all new internals and it never let me down. The car was very fun with bolt on mods, and extremely reliable. My best friend bought from me a few years back and he's been enjoying the hell out of it

I say go for it! :icon_tup:
