S5 No ignition lights when turning on the ignition.

Now I’ve searched hi and low for a solution and all I get is the common faults which I’ve check double checked.

The car car is a turbo 2 on a 1990.
so I’ve been welding in new sills and floors and the build is getting close after 6 years. ive bridge ported it and rebuilt the motor. Fitted the holset turbo and fabbed exhausts. Now I’ve shaved and tucked the wiring loom but I personally think I may have shaved a wire to many. As I get in the car the idiot lights for the door and the handbrake work as they should, but when I turn on the ignition I get no batt light/ oil light, I’m pretty sure they all should go through a test sequence before going back out. This never happens!
but I can start and run the car fine. The rad light works and so does the buzzer but I never get a batt light or an oil light and no test sequence on the turning of the key.
Ive jumper wired the white/ black wire down to ground as suggested in a post I read and all the lights work.
I’m really stumped as I can sort most things but electronics is my downfall. Had the cpu out and checked also the idiot cluster all seems good no dry joints.

I have the same exact issue on my S4 and I have always assumed my broken CPU has caused it.

I’m not completely ruling out the cpu, was hoping someone with vast knowledge on the electrical side could shed some light on my issue. Have you looked into curing the problem? or just left is as it is as everything is working bar the lights. I don’t mind leaving it as it is but I’d be a lot happier if the lights told me I had an issue before it was to late.
