Remove steering wheel Rx7 FC NA S4 1986
 

This is my first post, so sorry if I posted in the wrong section.

This isn't my picture, but it's the same steering wheel. Does anyone know how to remove the horn pad without breaking anything? When I look through the 2mm gap between the horn pad and the wheel, I can see that it's connected by 3 white cylinders. Do you just pull the horn (entire rubber padded plate) off by force, or do you remove the rubber off the plate to then unscrew some potential screws hiding under the pad?

Maybe there are screws on the back that are holding it on. The plastic trim around the steering stem may need to be removed to access them.

You did indeed have to remove the rubber padding off a plate underneath. Check out the picture below:

same wheel here also. The rubber pad peels off. But the Mazda insert may pop out. It can be glued back into place.
