Random FC questions !!

Just been thinking about random questions regarding the FC that don't necessarily deserve their own thread and decided to make a thread for it as it's mostly just for knowledge not that I'm about to attempt anything here.

1) Can you mount a T2 engine to an Oem Automatic tranny ?

2) How much fuel does a Na/turbo use while idling?

3) Does coasting downhill or otherwise save fuel/ cut off fuel?

4) Above question but a two parter, does coasting damage internals since no oil is getting injected ?(s4/s5)

5) Are verts more rare than T2s?

6) Did they sell less or more of each model? (Related to above question)

I'll post more random questions as I come up with them. Thanks guys.

Why do we drive on parkways and park on driveways?

Same reason why it's a Near-miss not a Near-hit. Sorry just finished watching George Carlin.

i have a partial answer to that. the park way was envisaged at a way THROUGH a park, the tail of the dragon might be a good example of that. obviously it didn't really work as planned.

no idea about the driveway

1. yes. in Japan they optionally came that way.

2. no idea, but relatively a lot

3. yes. if the engine is over i think 1750rpm, and TPS is at zero, fuel is cut.

4. oil injection is independent, so you still get oil coasting.

5. no idea, good one!

6. the US S5 T2 is one of the rarest Rx7's, however they made quite a lot of S4 turbos. the Verts seem slightly the other way, although the only made the S4 vert in 88, and S5 was 89-way late in 1991. its a little puzzling as the S5's were very expensive (vert was pushing 30k, while an S4 T2 was about 22k), compared to the S4, and the Vert was the most expensive (i think), yet it seems to have sold ok.

Wonder if it will just bolt up on a Canadian model. For shits and giggles. I doubt the tranny will last long.

Yeah I wish they had hard numbers. It's always nice to know.

I thought S4s you had to be on the throttle for the oil injection to work.

Assuming FC stands For Freakin Crazy:

If a lesbian is allergic to Clams?..does she get re-classified?
Is Richard Simmons really CarrotTop's Dad?
How small are the cows used for dairy creamers?..and who milks them?
Can Fish smell their own shit?.
If TSN televised a Gay Fight, would they get an announcer for "blow by blow Commentary"?..what would the Stats be like..73 inch reach around??..69 and 0 record...
If they built a floating sports Stadium ..would the Wave be banned?

. Well I guess the awnser to all of these questions is YES.

I would say the cows are Canadian House Cows and require very small children's hands.

Hmm interesting

Next question.

Do turbo hoods on NAs cause water to enter and damage anything during rain ?

misterstyx69 01-18-17 10:24 PM

trans stuff..
The auto flexplate is as big as the TII flywheel and they BOTH use a similar Starter.(the auto starter and TII starter is swappable)
That tells me that the ring gear is the same.

Hood Reply:..meh..minimal water so it would not do any damage.
Then again you got a VERT so I would be more worried about having the top down in the rain than a TII hood on the car!

I did not know they were swappable.

Well if it's minimal, like when my top is up and still leaks then I will be fine I guess. Damn crappy seals, I wish they actually worked. Nothing better for the car than Mazda factory H2O
