Problems with new clutch
 

So I installed an ACT clutch and pressure plate kit with new throwout bearing. New master and slave. After 1 month of driving about 500 miles, the throwout bearing goes bad.

Replaced it with a new one and 1 month later I'm having problems again. The car kept wanting to die when I pressed the clutch in. Fired it up one morning no problem, pressed in the clutch and it died...

Now when I go to start the car it feels like somethings dragging the motor. It's hard to start and it wants to stall if you aren't giving it gas..

Any idea what this could be before I drop the transmission....again...

Did you change the pilot bearing in the crank?
Have you done a rebuild recently?

I did not switch out the pilot bearing to the new one they gave me... I can do this without pulling the flywheel? If I have to, I do own the socket somewhere... Sry never had to change one before. And should I replace the throwout/clutch release bearing again at the same time?

You absolutely should replace the pilot bearing and seal when you replace the clutch assembly. You also need to make sure the bearing is properly greased.

You do not need to remove the flywheel nut to replace the pilot bearing. The pilot bearing is seated into the eccentric shaft the transmission's input shaft's tip is inserted into the pilot bearing upon trans install. You need to make sure that tip is clean and lightly greased to ease assembly. The clutch splines should also be lightly greased. They even make a special clutch spline grease. Sachs makes the grease that I use. It's good stuff.
