High idle on start, reving up when shutting off??
So ive owned my 88 fc 13b for 2 years now, when i bought from previous owner he told me to rev it up to 3,000 rpm for 10 sec's before killing it to avoid flooding on next start. Now I have a bunch of mechanic friends that said that is unnecessary and something is wrong with my car. (Keep in mind these mechanic buddies usually only work on domestic cars, but my one friend is a certified master mechanic amd most definitely a genius) Now in the summer time I usually just rev it up a bit then kill it, (in the summer if the car hasnt been running for more than 30 min sometimes it will hesitate to start, other than that no issues in warmer weather) I also let her warm up for 15 min before pulling out of my garage. but in the winter time I actually tried both ways, and if I didnt rev it up to 3,000 for 10 sec's on the next start it would flood, then i would have to pull the engine injection fuse and crank the starter for 20 sec's then try to start, if it didn't start, then rinse and repeat. Some times it will take mutiple tries. Usually max 4 to 5 times, then i do an oil change becuase I figure the oil is quite diluted with fuel, so to be safe oil change. Now my buddy says it could be a fuel regulater valve, or possibly somthing to do with a coolant temp sensor. Now from my understanding and talking to the rx7 community and relitive tuner guys, its just a stock rotary thing. My question is then i guess is there any truth to what my friend or I have stated? And or is there a mod or a fix or issue that causes this?
On a unrelated note, another question, if i slam on the brakes abruptly sometimes she will stall, is that vacuum related? Thank you, i hope some one has some knowledge on this subject. Sean |

So most likely I need to replace injectors?

How would I go about testing that?
