Fuel Pump Issue- Haltech Sport 1000 S5 6 Port Turbo FC
Hi guys,
I've just installed a Haltech Sport 1000 for my S5 6 port turbo project and somehow the car will only run if I bypass the fuel pump. I'm using a custom patch harness. Any suggestions what could be the problem? Thanks |
more info please. does the car run better with the fuel pump not running? or is the wire you are disconnecting doing something else?
basically is it a tuning/map/haltech issue or is it wired wrong? |

basically is it a tuning/map/haltech issue or is it wired wrong? With the stock ecu connected the car starts up and idles fine. If I install the Haltech Sport 1000 the car would start up and for about 5 seconds and dies. If I use a piece of wire to jump and bypass the fuel pump it starts and idles fine. I wired the Haltech fuel pump input straight into my ecu factory loom. |

Here is how I wired the fuel pump. 3k is the fuel pump relay, Mazda calls it a circuit opening relay |

ah, 1K is the fuel pump SPEED, it switches the pump from 9v to 12v

Save yourself a lot of future hassle and ditch the stock EFI/emissions harness. Run a new hardness with the Haltech harness. If you need to run the stock ECU for testing, run them in parallel.
