Diff COMP Bushing Issue

I installed the COMP diff bushings and also bought new lower COMP stopper washers. When I got the rear subframe back up in the car there was a gap between the aluminum diff housing and the lower stop washer. I believe it is installed correctly because the wear marks show the crown of the lower stop washer. Has anyone ran into this, is this the correct fitment, or does the diff housing bushing break in and eventually settle onto the crowns?
