Coolant temp sensor connector

1 Attachment(s)
Hey guys I just broke my coolant temp sensor off of the harness. I'm trying to figure out what I'll need to fix this, crimping tool & insert? See attachment for example. Any help pointing past threads that might have this info is greatly appreciated. Thanks

you can just use a pretty standard spade crimp connector.

Not familiar with electrical stuff, what size spade would I need? And crimping tool isn't specific?

That connector pictured "can still be used"..
If you get a Pick or something similar to open up where the wire goes on that connector and just squeeze it back down on the wire with pliers you are good to go.
OR you can get picky and buy another connector.
IF you need a Crimping tool they are cheap ..actually it's the Connectors themselves I find ridiculous pricewise..
You can get a small kit containing a crimper and some connectors at most automotive stores or even Walmart.

you would be better off using a new wire as a pigtail and then using a heat shrink butt connector to reattach it to the car's harness.

reattaching it to the existing 30 year old brittle and inflexible harness just begs for it to break again in no time.
