don't give up man you can figure it out. Another route you can take is to just start at the ECU. Is it working? Does your CEL come on when you have the car with ignition on? Grab a multimeter and check if it is getting proper voltage. Check if it is grounded too. Look at the fuel/emissions section in the service manuals and look for the section where it tells you the proper voltage readings for each pin on the ECU and just go down the list and write down what your pin readings are until you find where something is wrong. Most likely a sensor will be messed up and you can just try unplugging one sensor at a time and see if it will start.

If your rotary isn't starting/flooding then you should first and foremost do a compression test. Don't do anything else before know the health of your engine. Baby steps man.
