Hey all,

I'm in a project with my 87 turbo. Long story short after sitting 5 years I got the engine running s few months ago and tested compression which was ok. I took the motor out and was planning to redo all the gaskets etc short of opening the block.

I just popped the sump off and found pretty big chunks in there. Any idea what it could be? I cant see any signs of damage looking in. Is it possible it's old sump gasket?
