1988 Mazda RX7 GXL (Automatic)
So I recently purchased a 88 RX7 GXL, I cleaned out the fuel tank replace the pump/ stained, spark plugs battery, sat for 15 Year’s btw, she starts i can get her to idle at 1000 rpms I try to rev her up quickly she is very hesitant if not at all but if I go slow I can get her to redline if I wanted to. But will still lose power. if I put her in drive/ reverse she stalls out. She’s in pretty solid condition any suggestions on what to check?

you should by rights be thoroughly cleaning the fuel system not just replacing the pump.
The 15 year old dormant fuel injectors are still all crap encrusted.
Also you can start checking the vacuum hoses and lines as they become candy cane like and can snap off if you look at them!

Don't spend any more money on parts without doing a compression check. You don't need a fancy rotary specific compression gauge, one from Autozone will do. Three good even bumps on each rotor is what you're looking for.
