One item that was not included in the pic. of the Kit's components is the Supra's input shaft adapter race bushing.

The Supra's input shaft has a very small pilot race. (as pictured in the left.)
The Mazda on the other hand requiers a much larger Pilot bearing race. (on the right)

Any interest in doing a group buy if we have 10 solid buyers? Perhaps give the first group a discount. Although I do not mind paying $1900 for a quality product, I figure it would benefit us and yourself if you do a 10 man group buy for the product and lower the price for the group buy.

Just a thought, if not you'll be my business either way.

Are there a limited number of these being made?

carx7 09-13-07 03:29 PM

That's a superb deal!

GT1-20b 09-13-07 03:30 PM

3.73 Ring & Pinion gears for the FD.

Next, I will start a new thread for a 3.73 Ring & Pinion final drive gear set adaptable to the FD diff. carrier.
Ideal in combination w/ the Getrag, or anyone looking for more top end out of their FD w/ the OEM Box.

Yes, I would be interested.
It would same me a lot of Internet time and time is one thing I have NOT much of !

I have spoken w/ Ramy (FD Newbie), he said he would arrange a GB on my behalf.
Maybe You can get w/ him and proceed on this.

I would also like to set up a group buy on what I feel would be the correct and best Clutch & Flywheel package for this.
This way I can asure NO incompatability problems when customers install their gearboxes.

An attractively priced twin disc Ceramic/ Metalic package, or a full but expensive Carbon/ Carbon package based on the same Flywheel and Cover setup.

I am looking at offering a 10% discount on a group buy of 8 Kit's or better.

Carlos

Geez....no patience! Let the man finish posting! LOL.

FYI, I'm running the GB on these parts, and it'll include everything from the adapter to the clutch & flywheel to the tranny too if you guys like. I didn't post anything yet because *I'm waiting for Carlos to finish posting!* ;) (Patience is it's own virtue my friend).

That side by side illustration was the first one I made 6 years ago.
And BTW has worked well.

The new ones will have a chamfer w/ a 37 degee lead in angle, and micropolished.

Please let us know about driveshaft options/suggestions as well. Thanks for all the metrics and photos :icon_tup:

I dunno if we can do a GB on custom driveshafts, since how far back each person's 20B sits may be very different, depending on the subframe you use. But I'll def. see if we can still get a discount if we buy a certain quantity, even if the measurements are different.

Having said that, assuming that people joining this GB are building a roadracer and NOT a dragster, I'd like to use a carbon fiber driveshaft. A carbon shaft is excellent for street and road race (and very light street/drag use if you're brave), as it's very light and absorbs a lot of the shock on launch and shifting.
