t4 or t6 turbo

Im planning on a 75 to 80mm borg warner turbo. I have talked with bewtew about his old fd 1bad20b as he ran a s475 and a s480. he mentioned if he built another car he would run a t4 instead of the t6. I never got a reason why he wanted to do that but maybe someone here can shed some light and opinions on the matter.

If your going to be drag racing then the 20b swaps that I've seen over the years at the track. Don't use t4 flanges for the massive 1:32 - 1:35 a/r turbine side the t6 flanges come with. Now for the street which you probably already know t4 is a common choice due to different scenarios, lag, hp goal, etc etc...The t4 flanges have a better selection and are more commonly used on average 20b swaps. That's my 2 cents!

use a stainless steel v-band housing and save on the weight - it's what i would do.

We've ran all three setups and honestly overall I liked the V-banded TiAL setup the best both for manifold design and fitment along with weight savings.

I've been doing some searching and the only SS vband housing I can find are from Danville. Turbine Housings

I'm doing a 20b build and already purchased the s475 with the 96mm turbine. I want to run a streetport and have decent spool characteristics. Will a 1.0 a/r work well for this or is the turbine wheel going to be way to big for the turbo to make 14psi by say 4000rpm.

Zero, you talk about Tial housing. Would this have to be machined from their Garrett lineup? Cant seem to find anything that Tial does for BW.
