They just finished it like 1hr ago so this won't be posted on their website for a bit. If anybody is interested, I have been working with them to get a good price if we purchased a couple of them or kits so anybody interested pm me and we might be able to get a group discount with all the suppliers for the kit.

Just FYI

They are giving me the ability to custom make anything and everything on the transmission so your imagination & your wallet is going to determine how far you can take it. Input shaft, all gears, material of gears, lube pumps ect. It's a laundry list of customization. You can even select each gear specific to your transmission. So anybody interested PM me

i haven't received the transmission yet i believe i get it Tuesday next week and i will measure it. it certainly looks like a magnum XL rear but that was one of my solutions for making the t56 magnum fit on the rx7 but the problem is that the factory Tremec t56 magnum XL are only sold as a kit for mustangs. so you have to buy all the extra stuff that comes in the kit plus the main problem i found was that since its made for a mustang the input shaft if for ford which has a much bigger pilot bearing so it doesn't fit on the rx7 pilot bearing. That was one of the options i contemplated, but if you go that route you have to take the transmission apart and machine the input shaft which is alot of money and you cant just swap it for a GM input shaft because the GM and ford are not interchangeable. you have to change a lot of parts to put the GM input shaft into a XL. In addition, the magnum XL have many specific parts which make them difficult if need to be rebuilt. By the way the Tranzilla RZ transmission its a bolt on using the QuickTime bellhousing and its rated at 850torque (the magnum and magnum XL are only rated to 700 torque). plus the transmission has a lot of upgrade in lubrication ect over the regular magnum.

PS. If anybody have any special request for more info ect feel free to ask away!. also i will be creating a video soon.... Any request welcomed!

Mate if you do a full "how to" that would be great.

I'm finding their is still quite a bit or missing or wrong information in all the "ways" to do it. I think part of that issue is most have taken a 2nd hand T56 and just "made it work". But would be good to structure it around this is whats proven and current. (As even the QT bell housing has had a few irritations)

first of all thank you for your support of the project!

i will look into creating a how to video. But really after all the parts are created it would be a bolt on kit. i been working with all the different companies to really create a strong, safe and products with warranty to the rx7 community. if anybody is interested in the full kit and can talk to all the manufactures to then sell it as a full bolt on kit. if anybody is interested PM me.

Off the press!

I received an email yesterday from the clutch company and im happy to announce that i Spec clutches will be making the clutch kit for our application. they originally develop the clutch kit with me. Im just trying to find out pricing for the kit to make it as affordable as possible for the rotary community. In my previous post below i mentioned that i had reached out to Tilton but they would have to develop a full kit which would take sometime and i really would like to get the kit out there. If anybody is interested in a Tilton clutch kit and is willing to pay and wait to develop it feel free to PM me and i can make it happen. The clutch kit that i have available thru Spec would be a Twin Disk Carbon/Carbon Clutch kit capable of 1200hp plenty of wiggle room. If you have any question or interest in the kit feel free to PM me. The next step i will be installing transmission and making transmision mount, send measurements to get driveshaft made ect. Getting closer to finish line!!!!

thanks for all your efforts. I'm following this closely because I'm on my 3rd FD transmission. After you break a couple boxes, it shatters your confidence in the car little bit. Once I'm 50 or so miles out of my area, I always baby the car for that reason.

I would be interested in a bolt-on option for t56-magnum swap minus driveshaft and the mount. Many of us have different engine mounting positions. I'm done handing empty checks to shops who may or may not get it done correctly the first time.

feel free to PM me i can get those ordered for you if you don't need those additional parts. im currently working on those parts being made that we i haven't offered the kit yet. but some people are in the same boat you are because they only wants a couple of parts. it can be purchased separately. i would need some measurements from you to make sure the transmission is custom for your application and some extra stuff to make it your own. its like burger king have it your way lol.... i should get pay for the plug for burger king lol....

TranzillaRZ 6speed Rx7 fd3s 20B Updates

Had some time to put the TranzillaRZ kit in and it's fitting like a glove. So far twin disk carbon clutch kit is on with SFI certified bell is on. TranzillaRZ is on with extension shifter. If anyone has any questions feel free to PM me and I would be more than happy to give further info. If interested in more pics and to follow the progress feel free to reach us in instagram @rzmotorsports or in YouTube.com/RZMotorsports

Tr-6060 would be a used transmission and you can run into the same problem as you can with the regular t56 because all those used transmission come on sports cars which they typically abuse so you run into a problem of buying a ticking bomb that can brake at any point. In addition, the t56 has a torque rating of 450, the tr-6060 has torque rating of 600, and the t56 magnum torque rating is 700. The TranzillaRZ has a torque rating of 850+ depending on upgrades you select it can be much more. I have talked and seen many people regretting buying a used t56 because you can really see the conditions of the gears or maintenance that have been performed in the transmission life to that point. My solution is a brand new out the box transmission that has warranty. Most of the items you used for your conversion I helped developed for example I was the one that came to Quicktime with the idea to build sfi certified bell to mate the rotary engine to a t56 or t56 magnum many years ago. Thank you for the info and your willingness to help long live the rotary.
