charcoal canister fuel line removal?
I am running new fuel lines on my 20b converted FD so doing away with the old hardlines. I was wondering if I am safe to also remove the 3rd line that runs from the charcoal canister above the diff. I gather this is just a fuel tank breather and on a 13b setup runs into the inlet plenum via a control valve to draw any fuel smells into the engine? I don't have the facilities to connect this up o the 20b. Hence I am thinking just leave a pipe hanging down above the diff out of the charcoal canister. Gives me more room to run the new Lines and tidy's it up a bit? I presume fuel should never come out of this line?
Can anyone confirm my thoughts please? I had considered running the 3rd line as a separate fuel feed but think I will get into issues only have the single return line? Plus it gives more joints and fittings to leak!? |
