can i swap exhaust sleeves with my motor assembled
well im not ready for a rebuild on my 20b because i still have good compression, and dont have the money at the moment for the rebuild, BUT those stock 20b exhaust sleeves really make me cringe. first of all, is it even possible to extract the roll pins, remove the sleeves/diffusers and reinstall FD sleeves w/ pins in a motor thats assembled? and if so, doesnt anyone have any tips? from what ive read its not a cake walk even with the housing on a workbench let alone in the motor. any other options if swapping them with the motor built is a no go? -heath

why r 20b sleeves so bad?

No, not without doing serious damage to the rotor housings themselves.

they are not that bad... infact most people probably wouldn't see much of a gain by swapping them out anyhow

idk they look pretty restrictive to me. anyone have a dyno sheet for a 20b with sleeves? from what ive read you get more torque low down but loose HP up top. what im wondering is how much, if the only differences are the sleeves.
