20b VS FD Waterpump
 

I am thinking of changing my 20b waterpump and powersteering setup to the fd one. I don't have any problems with my 20b setup. Just wondering if anyone likes the 20b or the fd system better.

i have the FD on mine...i HEARD that the fd one is more efficient than the 20b/fc one..but I cant confirm it

the fd one fits better. i used the cosmo one cause i know it would work, but the fd setup is nice cause the water pump isnt a $400 special order thing....

I had my waterpump rebuilt for $125 cdn and its going on 3 years.

I have the them on mine, I too heard that they work better and I know that parts are easier to get.

I'm using the fc waterpump, works great , no problems with over heating. The pump is a lot
cheaper to replace.

The FD pump or the FC pump is WAY lighter as well, making it a two birds with one stone swap. I used the FD front cover, P.S ect to make all the belts serp. but maybe you can still use the V-belts with a FD pump, FC pulley? I never tried that though.

On my FD conversion I went with a Mezier electric water pump.

Is there an electric water pump that is adjustable for it's flow rate.

Who did you use? Mine just started pissing coolant out of the bottom weep hole (or whatever it's called). I don't wanna buy a used one because it may start pissing as well. I like the 20b unit over the fd because it out flows it. Down here in 100+ degree weather, I need that flow to help keep this engine cool.
