20B emissions and crap
does anyone know what each of these does? i'm pretty sure that some of the whole mess has to do with emissions control, and i'm trying to simplify the motor as much as possible since i'm not gonna worry about emissions.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v490/rizzlah/av.jpg does anyone have a wiring diagram for the 20B or know where i can find one? i've been looking forever, and i can't get it. thanks |
And you won't find one either. Just remove all that stuff. It won't pass emissions anyways.

it's safe to remove all of that crap? i know one is probably EGR, which i don't care about, but all of them can just be removed? anyone done that to their motor?

All that stuff that is in that picture I took off and threw in the garbage. My car ran fine.

thanks for the help sillbeer. . .
i know that is you put hopes in one hand and sh*t in the other which fills up faster, but if anyone happens to have the wiring diagram. . . PLEASE SCAN AND POST. . . PLEASE -ryan |
also, japanese engines (at least rotaries) dont have EGR valves

40% are for emissions.
40% are for twin sequential turbo control. The other 20% are for miscellaneous. If you know your way around any 13B with vacuum emissions, they whole mess should look familiar. The only one you need to worry about is the ORANGE FPR one. Throw the solenoid away, but the FPR fitting has to go to a vacuum source (after the TB). -Ted |

i'm still undecided on which ecu i'm going to use. i need to decide real soon though since that and the intercooler are the only things i have left besides incidentals. i really want to use the AEM because it has so much control over so much. next up is haltech e11v2 then microtech lt12s. i've been asking for reccomendations for 3-rotor applications, and it seems like success stories have more in the opposite order of my preference. anyway, i'm still wideopen to any advice that anyone has on ecu selection. thanks for all the feedback guys.

I was initially going with Tec3R.. now, e11v2.. I'm I making a right choice? I have no clue.. All have their little advantages but I'm going to wait, wait, and wait, until I get my motor completely built. Make sure you have good support.. Unless you are going to tune it yourself, than I guess which software works for you.. Let me know what you find..
