Would anyone be interested...

If I were to make a bunch of custom wiring harnesses that would make the DLIDFIS a simple plug and play deal all while looking clean and stock would anyone be interested in buying them?? I have done this mod several times, and I know how to make some damn-good harnesses. All connections would be soldered and heat shrinked and I will include a 30amp relay (yes I run off a relay)as well as full detailed instructions with drawings. If enough of you guys are interested, I could "manufacture" some aluminum backets to mount the ignitors and the extra coil. Just a suggestion, let me know.

I have DLIDFIS but I think you could become a rich man selling good harnesses, i might even snatch one up from you if they look as good as you make 'em sound man, and i dont have a relay in my setup which i wish i had done, lets see some pics of your work!

Lotus00 12-07-03 12:45 AM

I think it would be cool, i would get one.

GavinJuice 12-07-03 12:50 AM

Yes. I would want one.

RotaryRevn 12-07-03 01:40 AM

uhh, whats a DLIDFIS? I may be interested once I know what it is..lol

Jeff20B 12-07-03 03:38 AM

It stands for Dual Leading Ignitor Direct Fire Ignition System.

jsinrx7, it's cool that you're wanting to make money building DLIDFIS harnesses that fit a 1st gen. Good luck! :)

By the way... oh, never mind.

HadaGSL-SE 12-07-03 11:01 AM

I think Jeff20b was gonna say that you can visit his website to see how he created this sweet little mod.

I think that there is definately an interest in brackets for coils and a heat sink plate for ignitors. I'm going to have to relocate my coils when I get a strut tower brace.

Slightly off topic...

Would you need DFLIDS (or whatever)

If you are running two seperate MSD 6AL Boxes
and two MSD Blaster 2 Coils?

I curious, as I am finishing my ignition now.

Critoris 12-07-03 11:58 AM

I'm interested - definitely.

1stgen4life 12-07-03 12:36 PM

what price range are you thinking of selling this in?

851stgen12a 12-07-03 01:30 PM

INTERESTED!!!!!!

virfighter 12-07-03 01:30 PM

I am definitely interested.

seanrot 12-07-03 01:36 PM

hummmm I'm interested. let see some samples:)

Aviator 902S 12-07-03 01:48 PM

Definitely interested, assuming the price is reasonable and the quality of components good.
Mind you, I think we all recognize that you're entitled to make a profit here--- otherwise, what would be the point?
Can your suppliers give you volume discounts to keep your overhead down?
You might also want to contact Manntis (info@rotorhead.ca)--- he might be interested in stocking these.

GavinJuice 12-07-03 07:48 PM

keep this post at the top, and RESPOND! we want some pictures!

jsinrx7 12-07-03 07:48 PM

Holy Crap!! I didnt expect so many of you guys to be interested! I guess I will have to get started on figuring out all of the costs and everything. I will post some pics tomorrow and try to come up with some VERY reasonable prices. Yes I want to make a profit, but I am not out to rip anybody off. Its just I have seen some pretty "shoddy" Direct Fire setups and I just want to provide another option for you guys.

Thanks, Jason

Jeff20B 12-08-03 01:27 AM

I don't think you'll rip anyone off. The info is already out there for all to see. All anyone needs to do is to type DLIDFIS into a search engine and read-up.

That's pretty much what I was going to say earlier.

FB II 12-08-03 02:54 AM

isinrx7; i am very interested.

Aico 12-08-03 05:40 AM

I'm very interested. Especially the coil brackets would be sweet.

cuthbert38 12-08-03 06:33 AM

talk to me my man... pics of yours would be helpful! prices and time from order to delivery? Thanks would save lots of us a lot of work

Conway 12-08-03 10:34 AM

Hey jsinrx7,
I am definately interested, depending on price, of course. I have the extra ignitor and coil, I just don't have the time and patience to hook it all up right now, so yeah, word!
