woohoo! i think i've figured out my dellorto!

after a year of futzing around with jets, and not knowing what the heck i was doing, i think my del is setup and running smooth! thanks to brad p, rxcetera, badassrx-7, tigger09, and anyone else i might have annoyed with all my questions. and one huge thankyou to anyone who helped put together www.gruntled.com , probably the best dellorto info i've seen on the web.

Ok, so what is your set up? Are you running it on a stock 12A or something else?

i'm running a stock 12a with a pacesetter exhaust(not worth a darn). i used the 12a stock settings: 230 main fuel, 230 air correction, 7850.4 idle jet holder, and 72? idle jet. go to www.gruntled.com . they have dellorto settings for 12 stock, 12a streetported, and 13b stock. the only difference between mine and will's (on the site) settings is that i have my idle jets backed waaaay out. like around 5 turns out. i know this means i should rejet one size larger on the main fuel, but it's running better than it ever has before. the stock settings will get you close though. before, i had 235 mains, 210 air correct, 80 idle fuel jets, and 7850.8 idle jet holder. it ran super rich, but idled well. i had lots of stuttering from 4k up at any constant throttle position. now, no stuttering, smooth all the way up, still a tad weak down low, hence the idle jets being backed out. at normal 2.5 turns out, it would nearly die when going into 1st gear from a standstill.
